Why we created Bending Mind: small daily rituals for your mind that change the day
The Bending Mind team

In short: Bending Mind makes rituals for your mind – carefully chosen sets of thoughts, where each thought sits on a small hand-rolled note inside a capsule. The jar holds 20 capsules, each with one thought. We created them believing that one good thought, arriving at the right moment, can change how we see our day. Everything is made and packed by hand, with love, in Lithuania.
Days on autopilot
So many of our days look the same: rushing, worries, screens and tasks. We live as if on a programme, rarely stopping to ask ourselves how we really feel. Not because we don’t want to – there just isn’t room. We know that feeling well ourselves.
Thoughts shape how we see the world
Our thoughts follow us everywhere – they shape our mood, our decisions and the way we see the world. Marcus Aurelius wrote in his Meditations that the soul is dyed by its thoughts. Sometimes one thought is enough to feel what we can’t yet name, to notice an unexpected coincidence, or to take the step we’ve long dreamed of.
What “Bending Mind” means
To bend is to tilt something slightly. Our name is about a gentle shift in how we look and think: not changing the world in a day, but tilting the way we see it. Sometimes a small change of angle is enough for what felt heavy to feel lighter.
Why capsules
We wanted a ritual that’s simple, cosy and a little surprising. A capsule is a small pause: you don’t open it absent-mindedly. You pull it out, open it and read it – that one minute is the whole point, and not knowing which thought you’ll get today makes it yours alone.
How we choose the thoughts
We gather the thoughts from books, articles, conversations and the insights of inspiring people. Only the ones that moved us and truly helped us move forward make it into the rituals. Perhaps you’ll even find a thought you shared with someone recently?
Three rituals, three moments
- Positivity – to spark a smile when your thoughts go round in circles.
- Gratitude – to warm the soul and notice how much good you already have.
- Inspiration – to bring a dream closer when you need courage.

What we don’t promise
A ritual for your mind isn’t therapy, medicine or a miracle cure, and it doesn’t replace advice from a doctor, psychologist or other professional. It’s a small daily reminder – and a gift that makes it easy to show someone you’re thinking of them.
Our vision
We’d love a mindful pause to become as natural a daily ritual as morning coffee. A place in every home and workplace for a small thought that reminds you that how you see your day is your choice.
