What is a ritual for your mind, and how to do one in a minute

The Bending Mind team

Colourful thought capsules in open hands

A ritual for your mind is a carefully chosen set of thoughts by Bending Mind: the jar holds 20 capsules, and each one contains a hand-rolled note with a thought. You pull one capsule, read the thought and give it a minute. The capsules aren’t edible – they contain paper.

How to do the ritual

  1. Pull a capsule without looking. Whichever one you get is today’s thought.
  2. Open it and read the note.
  3. Take a minute. Breathe in, read it again and think about what this thought means for your day.
  4. Keep the note or pass it on to someone who might need it today.

Why a ritual like this helps

Most days go by in a rush, as if on a programme. A short, mindful pause helps you see the day differently: notice the good, ease the tension or find the courage to take a step. A ritual for your mind isn’t therapy or medicine and doesn’t replace advice from a doctor, psychologist or other professional – it’s a small daily reminder that’s nice to keep on your desk.

Where the thoughts come from

We gather the thoughts from books, articles, conversations and the insights of inspiring people. Only the ones that moved us make it into the rituals. Every ritual is made and packed by hand, with love, in Lithuania.

Key facts

  • 20 capsules per jar – about a month if you pull one each working day;
  • available in English or Lithuanian;
  • a kraft gift box with a label listing the (sweet) ingredients and how to enjoy it;
  • made and packed by hand, with love, in Lithuania;
  • not a medicine or a food supplement.

Frequently asked questions

Can you eat the capsules?

No. The capsules contain paper, so they are not edible. Keep out of reach of children.

How long does one ritual last?

The jar holds 20 capsules. If you pull one every working day, it lasts about a month.

How is a ritual for your mind different from affirmation cards?

You usually see affirmation cards all at once, while a ritual for your mind is built on surprise: you don’t know which thought you’ll pull, so every capsule becomes a small pause. On top of that, the ritual comes in a kraft box, so it makes a lovely gift for someone close.
